Our Incredible Teachers
MRs. Lisa (Pre-K)
Hello future WCCNS families! My name is Lisa Cortez, and I am delighted to be returning for my eighth year of teaching at the co-op.
My husband, Ben, and I have lived all over the country, but have called Ohio home since 2014. We have three children who are growing up way too fast! Our youngest, Oliver, is an alumnus of the 3’s and 4’s classes here at WCCNS. Outside of school, we can easily be found on various sport fields, wherever books are located, or in the kitchen trying out some new recipes.
I have always had a passion for education, and I believe the preschool years are a wonderful time for fostering creativity, engaging curious minds, and setting the tone for a life-long adventure in learning. Our classroom is a place for children to feel safe and supported as they explore. We spend out days engaged in a variety of hands-on activities that promote social-emotional growth, early literacy and math skills, simple science explorations and of course the arts!
One of my favorite aspects of cooperative preschool life is getting to know the families, and I cannot wait to spend time with you all in our classroom and make memories for a lifetime!
MRs. Leah (3’s and Toddler’s)
My name is Leah Sharpshair and I am super excited to be teaching the 3's and Toddler's Classes! I am looking forward to getting to know each of you.
My husband, Michael, and I have been married for almost 31 years and have 7 children. All seven of my children have attended WCCNS and now I have the amazing opportunity to continue working with students and families in a place I truly love. My grandchildren are now making their way through, continuing in their mama's footsteps, and I am excited another generation will be at WCCNS.
I am looking forward to helping each of the children learn and grow and be successful, while having lots of fun in the classroom. I want nothing more than to see your child excited about spending the morning with me and having their first experience at preschool be an awesome beginning in their education.
